Waxmaid Ares Plus Review – Simple and Strong

Today we will take a quick look at the recently updated Ares Plus E-Rig from Waxmaid. Currently, Waxmaid sells flower pipes, water pipes, reclaim/ash catchers, nectar collectors, grinders, and other dabbing accessories. Currently, the Waxmaid Ares electronic dab rig runs for a full retail price of $119.99 on their website. We will detail our experience objectively as always in our non-affiliate reviews. For this review, let’s check out the new and improved features of the Waxmaid Ares Plus.

While most of the features remain similar, the new additional features of the Ares Plus improve upon their previous Ares model

The only significant update for the Waxmaid Ares Plus is its much wider range of temperature control. Instead of being limited to only two fixed temperature settings on the previous Ares model, the Waxmaid Ares Plus now has three new sets of temperature ranges: Low (450-550F), Medium (550-650), High (650-750). 

When opening the rugged travel-ready case, you will find the following:

Most live resin sauces, badders, and budders are best enjoyed between the lowest temperature setting for best flavor and the medium temperature setting for stronger potency/thicker clouds. Most live resin diamonds, diamond sauces, and live rosin badder are also perfectly fine at the medium heat setting. Shatter and larger-sized diamonds are ideal at the highest setting, but not completely necessary. Using the Waxmaid Ares Plus for best results:

1. Charge the Ares battery if necessary (Red light means low battery, green means fully charged)

2. Screw the atomizer onto the top of the battery

3. Assemble the carb cap onto the atomizer using the belt included in the kit

4. Insert the water percolator onto the bottom of the battery

5. Fill the glass bubbler with water slightly below halfway full, just above the surface of the honeycomb water percolator

6. Twist the glass cup onto the bottom of the battery

7. Turn on the Ares battery by pressing the power button five times

8. Choose your preferred temperature by pressing the power button three times. (Green is 450-550F, Blue is 550-650F, Yellow is 650-750F)

9. Load your preferred extract onto the center of the atomizer

Overall, I would recommend the Ares Plus over their previous model for its updated temperature settings

Prior to this review, having only two fixed temperature settings felt limited on the previous Ares model. However, they have improved its temperature control by offering three new sets of temperature ranges. As a result, the much more reasonably-priced Ares Plus is a significant improvement upon the previous model. You can purchase the Ares Plus on their official website for $119.99 here.
